We signed autographs, sang our songs, received our certificates and said our "see you in Septembers".  Reality sets in - 1st Grade!

Tomorrow morning will be a little sad but we are happy to see everyone ready to move up and proud of how much everyone has grown.

Thank you so much to everyone for your generous gifts, your thoughtfulness,  kind words and of course, the hugs!

The partial slide show is in Forms and Docs.

Students are invited to attend the last school liturgy with their parents on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.

Please check backpacks to find the end of year letter with important information.

Report cards and 1st Grade Supply List will be mailed.  You can also check the website for information over the summer.

Also, anyone who ordered a Variety Show DVD will be contacted to pick them up.  You should be notified this week.

THANK you ALL for the opportunity to get to know and teach your children.

Have a safe and happy summer!!

Wednesday, June 10th

We said goodbye to the 8th graders today as they made their way through the halls for the last time as St. Leo's 8th graders.  Tonight is the Graduation Mass.  Congratulations and we wish them the best in high school.

Our last day is rapidly approaching.   It is hard to believe!!

The class should come to school dressed for our Luau celebration on Friday.  Sundresses and nice shorts and shirts are fine.  Our ceremony is at 1:30 in the school gym.  Grandparents are definitely welcome and siblings will be called down from their classes to join us for the ceremony.  Children can leave with their parents at the end of our celebration.

All homework should be returned to school tomorrow.

Lunch, Chocolate and Books

Hot Lunch is available this week:

Tuesday        - Empanadas & Rice
Wednesday  -  Pizza
Thursday      -  Chicken and Broccoli
Friday            - Bagels

Please send in money in an envelope with your child's name on it if you would like your child to receive hot lunch.

We had a special visit today from Kayla's Mom and Dad.  They taught us all about chocolate including where it comes from and how different types of chocolate are made.  It was amazing to see our science lesson at work and how heat and cooling changes solid into liquid and liquid into solid.

Not only did we get to sample chocolate but everyone had a chance to dip their own pretzel in chocolate.  There was even a special treat to send home that will be handed out by Kayla tomorrow.

You will notice that our books that we are finished with are coming home each night this week.   All homework should be finished and returned on Thursday.

We took some time out today to play BINGO with our 7th grade Big Brothers and Sisters.  They have been great role models for us all year.  We appreciate them bringing us to all the school liturgies.  Today, we had some fun as they helped us play Rhyming Bingo.

We will be attending our last school liturgy with them this year on Friday at 10:00 a.m.
