The whole school had a great time at "Camp Kindness" today.  We had 12 separate campfires in the gym with all the classes mixed.  The campfires were not real even though the fire alarm did end up going off for some unknown reason.  As we were given the "all clear" we returned to our campfires.  The 8th graders were camp counselors for us and facilitated our campfire conversation about kindness and respecting all of God's creations. It was so nice to hear the conversations and see the interaction between the students.  We ended with smores on a stick and everyone joining in and singing "This Little Light of Mine".

Don't forget this weekend is the Fall Harvest.  You can get your pumpkins and help earn money for St. Leo's.

Please keep in mind that our class bake sale and dress down is coming up.  It is on Monday, October 20th.   We are fundraising for Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge Inc.  (rbari.org) and for funds to go towards our future class trip.  Our whole class is asked to contribute for the bake sale.  Check back for further details on what to send in.  We may go with a possible theme which would be either pets or Halloween.  If anyone has any ideas or thoughts please email me.

There is no school on Monday for Columbus Day and Friday, October 17th is a 12:30 dismissal with no aftercare.  Have a great weekend!
