Flowers

Thank you to everyone who sent in flowers.  Our class made a beautiful basket for May Crowning!

Homework

We will be spending this short week reviewing and assessing what we have learned so far.  Next week we will begin our last unit in our language arts series.

Everyone should have a leveled reader in their folder to read tonight and tomorrow night and to be returned on Wednesday.  Students should use their reading strategies such as looking for words they know, beginning sounds, picture clues and finally, sounding out.  When the put it all together does what they read make sense??  Don't forget to encourage them to tap it out when sounding out and blending words.

The letters in the boxes on the "ack" family worksheet can be cut and used to help make words ending in "ack".

We will continue subtracting until we begin learning all about  "money" next week.

Dress Down and Bake Sale

There is a Dress Down and Bake Sale tomorrow

Field Day

This Thursday is Field Day, weather permitting.  It is a 1:00 dismissal with no aftercare.  Students should come to school in the correct color t-shirt, gym shorts and sneakers.  Applying sunscreen and wearing a cap are recommended if it is a sunny day.  Students should bring in two drinks with their names on it and a beach towel to sit on in the backyard.  Lunch will be provided by the HSA.

There is no school Friday, May 22nd.
