Today we focused on being kind to our families starting with our Family Prayer Service this morning.  It was nice to see some of our parents with us.  Our whole school collaborated on the writing of this poem for our families.  It was read aloud during our Prayer Service.

I  “Bee” Kind to Your Family

Hugs and kisses before work and night

Simple ways to be polite

Breakfast in bed to show love and respect

Listen to your parents and never talk back

Helping your brother and sister if they are in need

Cleaning up the kitchen is helpful indeed

Your toys should be your job to clean up

If a family member is sad cheer them up

No complaining when told what to do

Nothing compares to a picture colored by you

Respect your family, you only have one

It makes them feel as bright as the sun.

I pledge to respect my family and friends

Even after “Respect Week” ends!

~Created for you as a collaborative effort

by all our St. Leo’s students~

We also had the opportunity to see some of God's creatures up close as we discussed how we should respect and be kind to every living thing.
